What a day; what a day. I put up some really sweet drafting stools today. Check them out.

Whew I'm out.

See you guys tomorrow.

It's been crazy around here lately. I'm making a manufacturer section so that our customers can see everyone we carry. *sigh* It's taking forever to round up everything and put it into sections. I'll get back to you when I'm done.

It's been a long long long day. Sweet that it's friday, too. Man. Going to stone montain tonight to see the laser show. Never been so I'm looking foward to it.

Yeah before I forget. I redid the workspace a little. I now sit in a drafting stool and I've moved my monitors up a little over a foot. Great for the back let me tell you. My back was killing me from haunching over so much but this should help me sit up straight. So anyway, I'm done with the day and it's time to go relax with some friends. See ya later Bizchair.

WOW, today has been insane! I have done a million things this morning already and I still have a TON more to do. I actually kind of glad that I've had so much work to do today because I have no time to be bored. I've worked on so many lines this morning fixing random problems that we've had with them: Safco, Winco, Flagship Carpets, United Receptacle, Martin Furniture and Elitech to name just a few. It really has been the most work intensive day I've probably ever had. But besides the crazy amounts of work, today has been very peaceful, which is nice. To be calm yet busy at the same time is a very surreal experience. Well back to the grindstone. I'll be back later, when it's not so busy!

Today was a good day. I walked in to find that the new Black Lab Cd I had ordered came in. They're so good I listened to the CD at least 4 times through during the day. It definitely added to the day. That's for sure. I didn't have a ton to do today, but the things I did do were really intricate. I worked on Safco for the majority of the day. Really nice line at that, but I had to make some changes on it, nothing major, just some picture/caption problems. But still, going back over everything and trying to find problems on a 400+ item line can be a pain. But like I said Black Lab was there to comfort me throughout the day.

The new advanced search is great; we're publishing it tonight on the site. It's going to really help out a lot and I can't begin to express how amazing this will make it for our customer service department. But now that it's so powerful it's starting to find errors on the site. Well not errors persay, but things that we forgot existed that needed to be removed or fixed a LONG time ago. For instance, we have up this line called lesro and they sell reception furniture well the search found out that we had that all the tables were listed with options to purchase in leather...yeah...tables don't come in leather. So of course I had to fix that. So to sum up and to clarify. Search will be good, the work it creates will not be. Oh well, but why worry today is Friday and there's only 30 minutes left in the day. Then Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

So I'm making a blog for the company. Seems that I have an addiction to incessantly ramble on my own blog, so the powers that be decided to have my create a blog for work so that at least it would be "like work". Ahh, the pleasures of being a writer. So, anyway.

Today was an interesting day at Bizchair to say the least. Gary (the owner *see image above*) is a trip, man. Holy mother. We're trying to encorporate Great Plains here at work, which is some sort of ordering program, i don't really know a whole lot about it, except that it's supposed to intergrate about everything involving purchasing and make it simpler on all of us when orders come through...well anyway, it's not working properly or some such nonesense and it's really freaking Gary out because we have a lot riding on this software. So Gary is sitting in his side chair being all forlorn (like these orphans) while the IT guys from the Great Plains deal are running around frantically trying to get it to work. You'd have to be here to experience what really is going on, but here is a good idea (that's not actually gary).

But besides that it's been a good day for my part. I got a pretty major project done with a line we carry called Bush. I've been changing the pricing on the 300+ item line all day. But i'm done now and can relax a bit. John at Solid Cactus finished our advanced search function today as well. It should really boost the ease of use on our site. I don't really have the time to go into it all but basically it has partial word search which is a HUGE deal. If you've ever tried to search for anything...we'll say "safe" and "safes" don't show up, just things with the word "safe" in it you'll know what I mean. Maybe you won't because maybe you're not an IT manager like me, but maybe you know my pain.

So, anyway. That was today here at Bizchair. Now it's time to kick back in my favorite chair and relax until 5. :-)
